How Alkmee works
Getting started on Alkmee takes a few minutes. Here is what happens from the day you sign up to the day someone notices your talent.
1. Create your profile
Sign up with your email and choose your role: player, coach, recruiter or scout, manager or agent, organization or club, therapist or trainer, media, or sports fan. Alkmee then asks a few short questions that fit your role, such as your sports, your positions and your level.
Every step can be skipped and finished later, and your answers are saved as you go. Your location is never shown exactly: others only see your country and, if you choose, your city or region.
2. Post your highlights
Upload a video of up to three minutes or a photo. You can trim the video, choose a cover picture, write a caption, tag the people in it and decide who can see it and who can comment.
Pin your best video to the top of your profile as your highlight, so it is the first thing a coach sees. Every upload is checked before others can see it, to keep the platform safe.
3. Explore and follow
The feed shows videos from the sports you care about. Explore lets you browse by sport and find athletes, teams and creators. Follow the people you want to keep up with, like and comment on their posts, and save the ones you want to watch again.
4. Get discovered
Coaches, recruiters, clubs and agents can turn on Manager Mode. It gives them a Talent Pool to search for players by sport, position, level and other details, shortlists to keep track of players, and contact requests to reach out.
When someone sends you a contact request, you decide. You can accept, decline or block, and if you accept you choose which contact details to share.
5. Stay in touch
Message the people you connect with. A first message from someone who doesn't follow you lands in Message requests, so your inbox stays yours. Notifications tell you when someone follows you, likes or comments on your posts or sends you a request.
