Safety on Alkmee

Sports bring people together, and that only works when everyone feels safe. These are the rules and tools that protect the Alkmee community, especially young athletes.

Who can join

You must be at least 16 to use Alkmee. An account without a date of birth is treated as under 18. Your date of birth is never shown to anyone, and it can't be changed once it is saved.

Extra protection for 16 and 17 year olds

Adults can't start a chat with a 16 or 17 year old. Only an adult with a verified recruiter, coach, club or agent badge can send them a contact request, and the young person decides whether to accept. Their profiles and posts are never shown to visitors who are not logged in and never appear in search engines.

Notifications sent to young athletes by phone or email never show names or message text, and they never see ads for betting, alcohol, cannabis or vaping.

Every upload is checked

Each video and photo is checked automatically before anyone else can see it, and a person on our team looks at anything the check is unsure about. Nothing is published unchecked.

Badges you can trust

A badge means the Alkmee team checked something about an account. Badges can't be bought, are reviewed by a person and are checked again every year. Tap a badge to see what was checked and when.

Report and block

You can report a post, a profile or a message at any time. Reports go to our moderation team, and a post with many reports is hidden until a person has looked at it. Blocking someone stops them from finding your profile or messaging you.

Your privacy

Your exact location is never shown, only your country and, if you choose, your city or region. Your gender is private. You can delete your account at any time: it is hidden at once and everything about you is removed after 14 days.
